CHILEAN PRESIDENT, MICHELLE BACHELET, RECEIVES ALBERTO PLAZA IN LA MONEDA

jos_0005The Chilean singer-songwriter was received this past Wednesday January 17th by The President of the Republic of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, in an audience in the Government palace. In the meeting, Plaza presented his project against mistreatment of children in Latin America that will be carried out by him and his fans’ club “I will change the world”. He also explained some aspects of this organization, which has been working for more than five years with regional offices in ten countries.

“It has been an honor to have this meeting with President Bachelet and showing her our project against mistreatment of children in Latin America. We know about her permanent concern for children issues and we thank her for her support in our future activities” said the singer-songwriter after his meeting in La Moneda with the President of the Republic.

Counting on the valuable social work of his club “I will change the world”, Alberto Plaza has decided to focus his efforts in eradicating mistreatment of children (physical, emotional, sexual, abandonment and neglect) in Latin America. “The slogan of our campaign is “Encourage me to change the world”, and we need the help of many hearts together to do that. We are just beginning our hard work to eradicate the social problem and we will put all our efforts together to protect and support so many mistreated children of our continent”, he explained. To give a thrust to his campaign against mistreatment of children, Alberto Plaza and his organization “I will change the world” will organize the first “International Congress against Mistreatment of Children” that will be held by the end of April in Medellin, Colombia. Governmental authorities, professionals, international specialized lecturers will participate in the event. Besides, “I will change the world” will soon release its website, with all the information about the social campaign of Alberto Plaza against mistreatment of children.
